Sarah Michelle Gellar and Michelle Trachtenberg responded to the new misconduct allegations against Joss Whedon, ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’.
The actresses issued statements on social media to distance themselves from the director / producer / writer.
“While I’m proud of my name associated with Buffy Summers, I do not want to be associated with the name Joss Whedon forever,” Gellar, 43, wrote via Instagram on Wednesday. “I am more focused on educating my family and surviving a pandemic, so I will not make any further statements at this time. The star concluded her note by standing in solidarity with Fisher, whose whistleblowing efforts on ‘Justice League’ led WarnerMedia to conduct a third-party investigation into Fisher’s allegations. Carpenter noted that she participated in the investigation.
