Browns sign veteran DT Malik Jackson

The Cleveland Browns build the defense in free agencies. The Browns signed veteran defensive attacker Malik Jackson on Friday.

Per Josina Anderson, it’s a $ 4.5 million one-year deal for Jackson to move to Cleveland. Jackson, 31, has played with the Philadelphia Eagles for the past two seasons.

He’s a familiar face to Joe Woods, Browns’ defense coordinator. The two were together in Denver in 2015, the last season Jackson played for the Broncos before leaving for Jacksonville and then Philadelphia. Jackson made the Pro Bowl for the Jaguars in 2017 when he racked up career highs in pockets (eight) and (four).

Jackson is a possible replacement for Larry Ogunjobi in the defensive interior. Ogunjobi signed as a free agent with the Cincinnati Bengals.
