Browns safety Ronnie Harrison activated outside IR; reopens for practice after 2 positive COVID-19 tests

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Browns got good news on Thursday amid all their COVID-19 dispute.

They have activated Ronnie Harrison from the injured reserve / designated for return with his shoulder injury, which means he will probably play in the ‘win-and-in’ match against the Steelers on Sunday. He has missed the last four games and the Browns have missed him.

They could certainly use Harrison, as free safety Andrew Sendejo was ruled out after allegedly testing positive for COVID-19, and Karl Joseph was placed on the reserve list as a close contact with high risk.

The Bruines reopened their facility on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 a.m. after a training team Javon Patterson and a coach tested positive for COVID-19. The coach will not be on the field for Sunday’s game, as he must be isolated for at least ten days. They conducted an indoor exercise at 16:30 which was closed to the media due to the COVID-19 protocols.

The brown right guard Wyatt Teller (high ankle sprain) also practiced on Wednesday and has a good chance of playing on Sunday. Stefanski said he also hopes to get Jedrick Wills Jr. recovering from his illness, which cost him Sunday’s 23-16 defeat to the Jets.

If all goes as hoped, the five high-risk contacts of BJ Goodson (positive for COVID-19) will be back on the field on Thursday and available for the game. They are Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, Donovan Peoples-Jones, KhaDarel Hodge and Jacob Phillips.

Harrison Bryant and Karl Joseph, also close contacts, could be back by Saturday.

Three Browns players put out on Wednesday: linebackers Tae Davis (ankle) and Sione Takitaki (ankle) and attacking lineouts Nick Harris (knee).
