Browns held a virtual meeting with Northwest CB Greg Newsome

Normally, the Cleveland Browns would be at the annual reconnaissance combiner in Indianapolis with all other NFL teams this time of year. The combination is not taking place this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but one important part of the combination experience for teams is still taking place.

Player meetings and team interviews with the draft prospects are underway. One of the players the Browns recently met is a promising and interesting one, the Northwest cornerback Greg Newsome II.

Newsome is usually between number 25 and no. 50 projected, a series that includes the Browns’ first pick at number 26 overall. His ability to play ball in the air and use his height and football skills made Newsome an excellent prospect and it’s encouraging to hear that the Browns have already met.
