Brooke Shields broke her femur, shares Instagram recovery video

Brooke Shields on Sunday announced a video with a bomb and an injury and said on Instagram that she had broken her femur.

Shields, 55, posted a hospital gown on Instagram showing the actress, who danced on Broadway, acting extremely precariously with metal crutches, and non-slip socks on her feet.

“Broken my femur. Starting to recover,” Shields wrote. “No matter what your challenge, make a positive choice for yourself to move forward. # Start now.”

Shields gave no indication of what caused the injury to her femur or femur, the largest bone in the human body. She also did not provide a timetable for the injury and recovery.

USA Today reached out to Shield’s press representatives for further comment and elaboration.

The video sent shock waves through the Hollywood community.

“So sorry! Courage … it’s in your blood. Send love,” actress Glenn Close said in the Instagram comment.

“I’m sorry, let me know how you’re doing,” writes Sharon Stone, who offered to bring food.

“So glad I had to see your baby, you looked so good and beautiful and I know it’s a difficult one,” model Helena Christensen wrote.

In recent Instagram posts during the pandemic, one-time Calvin Klein jeans model Shields discussed working out during the pandemic to stay in shape.

“My approach to exercise comes from more of a rehabilitation approach because I had a partial knee replacement in part and I am preparing for a complete knee replacement on my other knee,” Shields explained in one post. ‘the maintenance aspect of getting my muscles activated. It really started when I called my coach and said, ‘Please, can you tell me FaceTime and tell me what I can do?’ And it grew from there. ”
