British police say EU’s ‘made mistake’ over COVID-19 vaccines

The European Union has admitted that it made a mistake when it called for an emergency measure to control COVID-19 vaccine exports, a British policy said.

The EU’s attempt to control the flow of vaccines within its borders has sparked controversy as officials threaten to block vaccinations from Northern Ireland, sparking a tense dispute over the country’s status in a post-Brexit world resumed it.

The British Prime Minister Michael Gove and the European Commission have agreed to end a dispute and to allow vaccines across the border, putting the people of Northern Ireland first, according to the BBC.

Gove has said he is confident in the UK’s vaccine supply and that it is on track to deliver 15 million shots by 15 February, reports the BBC.
