A two-time British pole dancing champion described as a ‘national treasure’ has hung herself while suffering from depression during the closure of the coronavirus.
Jessica Leanne Norris (27) did not respond to a friend in Bolton on June 15, 2020, reports The Sun on a forensic autopsy.

Norris, who won the title of Miss Pole Dance UK in 2011 and 2015, has struggled with mental health issues since her teens.
“Jess led a life of structure and struggled when the exclusion meant she could not learn or participate in pole dancing competitions,” her mother, Alanna Norris, said.
The young woman, who was taking antidepressants while working as a fitness instructor, stayed at home with her friend Brian Compton during the first country stop in the country.
The morning of her death, Compton booked a text with her, but received no response during the work, reports The Sun. When he returned, he discovered her body in the bedroom.
According to the report, a toxicologist found no evidence of drugs or alcohol in her system.
The avid pole dancer, who set up her first studio when she was just 15, launched a fundraiser for mental health charities in 2019.

“You have shone on so many stages like a beacon of hope and your legacy will live on forever in the history of poles and personally as my pole vaulter, who has shown your gratitude over the years and during your reign as double female singles champion.”
