British media ‘destroy my mental health’

Forget Oprah, James Corden is available to listen.

‘The Late Late Show’ host took Prince Harry’s recent transplant to California on a guided tour of Los Angeles – they even jumped in the double-decker bus for afternoon tea – and listened to the former royal explain why he and the now pregnant woman Meghan Markle not only left the UK but also chose to resign from their royal duties.

“It never walked away – it stepped back rather than retired,” Harry, 36, explained to Corden. ‘It was a very difficult environment, as I think a lot of people have seen. We all know what the British press can be like, and it has destroyed my mental health. I was like, ‘This is toxic.’

“So I did like any man and what any father would do, I have to get my family out of here.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex exchanged England for a $ 14 million Montecito estate to raise their son Archie and their growing family. Despite moving across the dam, Harry insisted he and Meghan, 39, had not given up their duties.

“But we never walked away. “As far as I am concerned, whatever decisions are taken aside, I will never walk away,” he said. “I will always contribute, but my life is public service, so wherever I am in the world, it will be the same.”

Harry’s conversation with Corden reflects his and Meghan’s official statement, which refutes Queen Elizabeth II’s announcement that the duo has resigned. In the brief response, the couple said they are ‘committed’ to a service life as it is ‘universal’.

Meghan briefly showed up in the duo’s tour of FaceTime Harry, whom she calls ‘Haz’, to prevent him from succumbing to Corden’s pressure to buy the famous mansion ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’.
