Why is this card so highly anticipated? Simply put, it brings the advancement of Nvidia’s leading Ampere GPUs such as the RTX 3070 and 3080 down to a pretty general price point, while still offering more than enough performance for the 1080p screens that are most popular among gamers. If you are building a rig-to-mid-rigging rig, it is an excellent choice with a good degree of future stability, thanks to HDMI 2.1 support, 12 GB VRAM and DLSS / RT features. It’s also significantly cheaper than AMD’s competitive RX 6800, which does not have a DLSS alternative and may not be as competitive in RT performance.
