Bridgerton made an explosive debut on Netflix and spent in the middle of a quieter holiday season indoors and at home. With the masses in quarantine, Shonda Rhimes’ adaptation of Julia Quinn’s popular book series became an instant hit, sparking discussions over timelines and causing dedicated printing (hello, Duke or Hastings). How could viewers resist this with a colorful setting in Regency London in 1813, steamy romances, glittering closets and provocative scandals? For those of us who have flown through our binge during the holidays, we’re exploring what it might be for. Bridgerton.
Season 2 has not been confirmed yet, but it looks likely.
At this point, Netflix has not yet confirmed the renewal, despite the program’s clear popularity among viewers.
