These loving birds’ involvement had a rocky start.
A man’s romantic proposal on top of an Austrian mountain ended in disaster on Sunday moments after his new fiancée said “Yes” – when she slipped according to the Sun and fell off a 650-foot cliff.
The 32-year-old woman miraculously survived when snow fell her from the mountain in the Falkert resort in Carinthia, the outlet reported.
Her 27-year-old partner tried to grab her, but took a tumble himself and swore 50 feet through the air before grabbing a ledge and holding it for the rest of his life, the Sun reported, referring to Bild.
A passerby rescued the unconscious woman while her fiancé, who had broken a vertebra, was rescued by a helicopter.
Their injuries were not considered life-threatening.
“The two were very happy. “If it had not been for snow, it would have turned out very differently,” said a police officer at the scene.
