On Thursday, NASA released a beautiful photo of a sea dune on Mars.
It also shows windy lines around Mars’ icy northern cape.
The portion captured in the shot represents an area 31 kilometers (19 miles) wide, NASA said. However, the Sea of Dunes covers an area as large as Texas.
The photo is a false color image, which means that the colors are representative of the temperature. Blue represents cooler climate systems, and the yellow shades indicate ‘sun-warmed dunes’, the US space agency wrote.

The photo was taken from a combination of images taken by the instrument of the Thermal Emission Imaging System on the Mars Odyssey orbit, NASA wrote.
The breathtaking images were captured in December 2002 to November 2004 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Odyssey.
The Mars Odyssey orbit is a robotic spacecraft that surrounds Mars and uses a thermal image to find evidence of water and ice on the planet.
It was launched in 2001, making it the longest Mars spacecraft in history.
