Breath of the wild trick shot defies the laws of physics, understanding

Even in 2021, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the gift that keeps on giving. Today we have one of the leading players in the game, Neko, which showed a trick shot so wonderfully, that it needed sufficient planning and dimensions to just get it right.

In the video above, the footage begins with Neko on top of some ruins, where they shoot an arrow out of a window. This is quickly followed by a ‘BTB’ (bullet time bounce) trick, which enables Link to jump off the head of a Bokoblin to gain massive speed and distance. In turn, Link is shown tearing through the air at a rate that allows him to watch the arrow as it slides through the air.

On its own, it looks impressive enough – it’s almost like Link detects a shooting star. But the real spectacle happens later when it turns out that the arrow had a target all along. By the end of the cut, the arrow finally reaches its destination and destroys a guardian in one blow.

The rest of the video further describes how Neko pulled it off in the first place. Using tricks like the moon jump, which allows Link to gain altitude, along with the gliding minigame – which measures distance – Neko has determined exactly where the arrow should be placed. The arrow moves about 1400 meters, which is almost the whole of the map.

If this sounds cool to you, it’s worth it to look into the details of this intriguing player, which offers new ways to kill Guardians. I would also recommend the BOTW trick-hunter’s Twitter feed, where they post achievements that lead to these larger, more complex showcases.
