The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 has some key challenges to overcome, and Majora’s Mask hints at how Nintendo intends to tackle it.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 Preview shows Link and Zelda discovering and discovering the depths of Hyrule Castle what appears to be the body of Ganondorf itself before the body is recreated and the castle appears to begin to pick up. And that’s basically all fans know.
Although there are ways to join the games, The legend of Zelda has generally little continuity, with each episode having its own story, where Link starts all over again and slowly becomes Tim’s hero. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2however, will be one of the few direct follow-up stories in the history of the franchise. As such, it will probably have to make a move in one of the other sequels of the series, the award-winning and whimsical Majora’s masks.

Challenges against the breath of nature 2
Breath of the Wild 2 faces Nintendo with some key challenges after Link first saw it after a hundred years of dormancy. It made sense for him to start with an almost no power, with the character suffering from memory loss as he gradually sums up his past and becomes the knight he was a century before. The explanation is simple, while Link and Zelda may still have a backstory that is exposed by the game
Breath of the Wild 2 does not have such a luxury. Assuming the next game takes place directly after the events of the first, which the preview seems to imply, Link should be just as powerful as when he defeated Calamity Ganon. However, it is limiting to start the game with that power. It will not allow a meaningful sense of progress, or the fun of surviving in a world in which the player is drastically surpassed.
The same can be said for Hyrule’s card. One of the best parts of the original Breath of nature is slowly uncovering the entire range of Hyrule from the Gerudo Desert to the lava fields of the Death Mountain. Nintendo will also have to find a way to make the world worthwhile again. This could present a greater challenge than Link’s power progression. Covering the card again and requiring players to unlock it will be tedious for players who have already explored it in the first game. Nintendo will have to find a reason in the universe that Link will no longer have knowledge of its environment or at least access to a map of it.
The studio should also make sure players have a new motivation to explore with regions they have already seen Breath of the Wild 2 confirm that they are using the same card as the original. While Majora’s masks does not offer immediate solutions to these problems, but it has had similar challenges that can give players a better idea of how Nintendo can address these challenges.
Majora’s masks
Majora’s masks is a direct sequel to Ocarina of Time. It encountered a similar set of problems as Breath of the Wild 2: explains how Link’s power after the events of Ocarina, and to give players a new world worth exploring. Nintendo got problem around the world by stating Majora’s masks in an alternate version of Hyrule, Termina, who was also influenced by the imagination of the Skull Kid wearing Majora’s Mask. Not one of the two Ocarina neither Majora’s masks was open-world, and Breath of the Wild 2The open world can pose a greater risk of repetition by using the same basic structure as the first game.
Majora’s masks got rid of Link’s power problem by having the Skull Kid steal the Ocarina of Time from him at the beginning of the game and turn Link into a Deku Scrub. That plus the Link’s fish-out-of-the-water presence in Termina, helped explain why the Hero of Time was so suddenly out of its depth at the beginning of Majora’s masks, and helped the game to have a steady sense of progression that was not affected, but that was not with the story of Ocarina.
Apply Majora’s Mask on BotW2
There are several ways Breath of the Wild 2 the example of Majora se Mask, some also appear to be in the trailer. Through the Breath of the Wild 2 viewers can hear sounds that sound as if they are being played backwards as a mysterious force moves through the castle.
This seems to imply that Breath of nature 2 will rely on time manipulation to solve some of the most important challenges. For example, it is possible that Link and Zelda will be suspended for a hundred years over time and come forward to see a version of Hyrule that has been under Ganondorf’s rule for a century. Nintendo is unlikely to want to use the memory card again, but if one is tossed through time, it could also have consequences for Link that could lead to the loss of its powers, or at least some important items such as the Master Sword.
It is also possible that Link may have found himself in the distant past, with Ganon trying to lift Hyrule Castle off the ground and teleport it back in time to defeat the Sheikah directly, at that time Hyrule Castle probably would not have been built does not become. During the heyday of Sheikah civilization, Link’s power would likely be surpassed by their technology.
A significant time jump could also enable Nintendo to make major changes to the map of Breath of the Wild 2 it can make the world worthy of exploration a second time. Alternative timelines were a mainstay of the Legend of Zelda franchise, and it looks likely that Ganondorf will once again have the upper hand by using some form of time manipulation at the start of the match.
Until more information is released by Nintendo, however, fans can only speculate. Taking into account the movements in Majora’s masks and the similar challenges facing Nintendo Breath of the Wild 2Fans can expect, however, that the start of the story of the next game will have a sudden and significant shift of some kind that will leave Link powerless and drastically change Hyrule.
The sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch, with no confirmed release date.
