The Atlanta Braves announced several positions ahead of Saturday’s game against the Chicago Cubs. The team recalled right-hander Bryse Wilson and selected the contracts of striker Sean Kazmar Jr. and the left-handed Jesse Biddle. The team placed Ender Inciarte and Sean Newcomb on the 10-day injured list and Kyle Wright returned to the alternative yard. Ozzie Albies, who also left Friday’s game after being hit by a field, is avoided, but he avoids the list of injured for now.
After yesterday’s game, the Braves select RHP Kyle Wright to use the club’s alternative training ground.
Biddle will carry No. 60. Kazmar Jr. will carry No. 53.

Snitker did not want to elaborate that Newcomb is placed on the list of injured, which usually means that it is a COVID-19 situation. Inciarte suffered a strained left thigh muscle as he ran the bases in Friday’s win over the Cubs.
Snitker was delighted with the news to Kazmar, who has not appeared in the majors since 2008 and has long been part of the Braves’ organization. He pointed out that Kazmar has the ability to play multiple positions, something the team currently needs with just three true outfielders in the rankings.
