Brave standard II gambler | how to unlock the gambler class

Brave default II is the latest in a series of new RPGs that pay homage to some of the classic artists of the nineties – and like its predecessors, BD2 brings the biggest tribute through its intricate task system – including some classes that are completely optional to unlock, such as the Gamble.

There are a total of twenty-four jobs, and if you want to know more about this, continue with our complete Bravely Default 2 workbook, with skill lists and all sorts. We also have some suggestions for the best tasks, topics, and work combinations in BD2, if you need them. On this page? We will explain quickly how to unlock the working class for gamblers, which is completely optional and can be easily missed.

How to Unlock the Gambler in Bravely Default 2

We do talk a bit about the Gambler in our work guide, but because some of you just want to know about it, spoiler-free, we thought we would break it out on a separate guide page. Here is the rub: you will be able to unlock the Gambler class a bit in Chapter 1. Once you have reached the point where you unlock the Beastmaster asterisk, you can do the sideways search that connects your Gambler.

You must be the city of Savalon, and you must go to the Savalon Gaming Hall located on the north side of the city. Because how else would your gambler unlock than by gambling a little …? This is really pretty obvious.

Inside the game room, chat with Shirley to introduce you to Bind and Divide, which is an optional card game mini-game from Bravely Default II. This game is not a triple triad, but it’s decent enough – if it’s very confusing. We haven’t quite figured out how to play yet, despite the best efforts of BD2’s NPCs to teach us – but we were able to get confused by the necessary card games to unlock Gambler.

The ‘Take a Gamble’ quest that begins after you chat with Shirley requires you to defeat a bunch of characters scattered throughout the Savalon Gaming Hall. Work in the hall and beat all the NPCs you can, starting with Orpheus, who cools in the north-east corner of the hall. After Orpheus, the other players work – except Shirley. STOP! If everyone is defeated!

Now you have beaten all the others, Shirley, who taught you the game, will play you again – there are no obstacles. Before playing Bind & Divide against Shirley, you need to save your game. If you lose this game from this rather tricky card game, you will be forced to reload your game; it actually leads to a game-over. So save just before you take her in tickets.

Beaten with Shirley, You must now fight her in a real battle boss battle to unlock the Gambler Asterisk. She’s not that hard, but again, it’s good that you saved, because if you fail in this fight, it’s a match over.

However, if you found the latest story battles manageable at this point, you would find no real problem for Shirley. We found that there is a greater danger of losing the card game to her, because of course it has a random element! But again – so does the Gambler Class, which stays with the tradition of other versions of this class elsewhere.

The Gambler class is potentially powerful, but you have to understand that the gaming ability range is highly random, as you would expect given the theme of the work. Gamblers, however, have good magic stats, which means it can be a good job to match with wizards. It is also ideal if you need money and need to hone in on some cash.
