Despite persistent rumors that he may be interested in the coaching position in Bloomington, Brad Cents, coach of the Boston Celtics, reiterated on Friday that he is not interested in the position.
When asked by reporters on Friday if he was considering coaching at Indiana, he replied, “I said it the other day: I’m not.”
Stevens prosecute: “And I tried to say it as clearly as I could and also to make people understand that the place is special to me. Because I do not want to make it sound like it is not. But, as I said the other day, I am so grateful for this organization and for the people here and for everything they have done for us. ”

Rumors circulated about Stevens possibly taking over as head coach at Indiana after Archie Miller was fired Monday afternoon.
Stevens, who grew up in Indiana and attended IU games, coached Butler in two NCAA championships before taking over as coach of the Boston Celtics. He is currently in his eighth year with the Celtics.
“I’m no longer a child,” Stevens said Friday. ‘I’m a 44-year-old Masshole. I swing around others as I drive, I eat Dunkin Donuts and carrot for the Patriots. ”
