It looks like Baylor has their legs under them again after a three-week hiatus due to COVID-19. The Bears needed overtime, but scored a big win in West Virginia. It also won the live Big 12 championship for the Bears.

Michigan, on the other hand, looked completely lost when they were smoked at home by Illinois. The Illini were still without star Ayo Dosunmu, who broke his nose last week against the state of Michigan. We found out after the game that he is also in the concussion protocol. Michigan is still waiting to win the live Big Ten title. The Wolverines can do no worse than be tied for it.

The result of these two games is that Baylor is again the overall No. 2 position, while Michigan falls back to No. 3. Each of these teams still has a cushion before they have to worry about dropping lower than that, and we ‘s games run out to make it happen.

A big game in the Big East highlights Wednesday’s schedule while Creighton plays Villanova in a game of the top two teams in the league.

The conference tournament also plays out in the A-10, Patriot and Ohio Valley conferences, including OVC champion Belmont, who take on SIU-Edwardsville.

At the bottom of the bracket, Boise State falls out of the field after a Quad 4 home loss to Fresno State. The Broncos are now the first team. It was their last game of the regular season, so they will have to wait for the Mountain West tournament to make up for it.

Duke is also gone for now. That is, Duke was not in the bracket, but among the first four teams that were out. The Blue Devils are also no longer there after losing in overtime at Georgia Tech. Duke are now 11-10 on the season and have not played a good schedule to get significant consideration in a game above the 500.
