Marvelous Marvin Hagler, former boxing champion who was the world median weightlifter, failed this Saturday at his home in New Hampshire 66 years ago, confirmed his death, Kay G. Hagler, in a statement, posted on social media.
The woman did not reveal the cause of the bankruptcy, but detailed that Hagler’s death, considered one of the best boxers in history, was “inesperated”. “Our family cares about respecting our privacy during this difficult moment”, agreed.
During his career he became an emblematic boxer like Roberto Durán, Thomas Hearns and Sugar Ray Leonard, and withdrew with a 62-3-2 record with 52 knockouts, while never failing to score.
Member of the International Salon of the Boxeo Family, Hagler was named Luchador de la Década (1980) by Boxing Illustrated and the two Luchador del Año (1983 and 1985) by The Ring.
