“He was a beloved son, brother and grandson,” Alto said. “At the moment we are gathering all the facts leading up to his untimely death and we do not wish to comment on speculation.”
“The International Brotherhood is appalled and furious at this incident,” the International Brotherhood said in a statement. “The fraternity has a zero-tolerance policy against illegal activities, drug abuse, bullying and exposure of any kind.”
The BGSU chapter has been placed on ‘administrative suspension’, the fraternity added. “We will also continue with the permanent suspension of Delta Beta Chapter as well as the expulsion of all members of the chapter from the International Frathood.
A BGSU spokesperson told CNN that he also placed his chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha on interim suspension.
“Local law enforcement and university investigations are continuing,” BGSU spokesman Alex Solis said in an email to CNN. “However, I can confirm that we have placed Pi Kappa Alpha on interim suspension due to alleged exposure.”
“BGSU is committed to not only the investigations of students and law enforcement, but a full investigation into the prevention and compliance responsibilities of every Greek chapter under university policies that prohibit exposure,” the university wrote.
Duncan Faulk, Foltz’s freshman at BGSU, lamented his friend.
Foltz’s family was able to donate his organs, Alto said.
