Boring Company LVCC Loop Inspires FL Mayor to Expand Miami Tunnel Project

Miami Mayor Francis Suarez visited The Boring Company’s Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) Loop in Sin City over the weekend.

‘Today I had the opportunity to visit @boringcompany tunnels in Las Vegas. After seeing the innovative and outstanding work @elonmusk & his team did, I can not wait to see what we can do for Miami, ‘the mayor wrote on Twitter.

Mayor Suarez shared photos of his productive trip to Las Vegas. He drove in a Tesla Model X and possibly drove through the LVCC Loop.

He also noted that a Boring Company Miami Loop would make a revolution in the modern, transit-oriented lifestyle of Miami. As cities continue to grow, transportation-oriented developments have become more relevant. According to the Institute for Transport and Development Policy, transit-oriented development focuses on the design of urban spaces with easy walking, cycling connections and ‘almost excellent’ transport services.

In Miami, Mayor Suarez was interested in building a Boring Company tunnel to reduce congestion in a specific part of the city. He wants to build a two-mile tunnel under the Miami River and thus revive the Brickell tunnel project proposed by former Mayor Maurice Ferré more than 40 years ago.

After visiting Las Vegas, Suarez may have expanded his vision on a Boring Company project in Miami. During a press conference on Monday, March 22, the mayor of Miami shared his vision on a foot system with several stops between Brickell and Little Haiti. Miami Herald. Based on its new concept, the potential Boring Company Miami Loop project has grown.
