Jumanji star and comedian Kevin Hart has been signed to play Roland in the upcoming Borderlands movie by The Hollywood Reporter. Yeah, I do not get it either.
Borderlands is directed by horror maestro Eli Roth based on a screenplay by Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin. Randbox Pitchford, CEO of Gearbox, and Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, serve as executive producers.

He’s not really my cup of tea, but even fans of the little comedian have to admit that Hart is a strange choice for Roland, a stacked, Stoic mercenary who often acts as the straight man in the strange conspiracies of the games. But hey, what could go wrong if a series that has already filled in for the meme dialogue is still a funny guy to shout out apparent jokes to the audience?
