Border Patrol announces MS-13 gang member illegally entered US

U.S. border patrol agents in California arrested a suspected MS-13 gang member early Wednesday morning after illegally crossing the border into the United States, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced.

An agent from the San Diego sector was looking for a group of illegal intruders in a mountainous area around 12:45 on Wednesday when he spotted half a dozen men ‘near the boundary wall’, according to CBP.

Upon questioning, all the men admitted that they had entered the US illegally and were arrested, authorities said.

While being processed at a nearby border patrol station, agents discovered that one of the men was a documented member of the MS-13 gang, ‘CBP said.

The agency said the man, a 28-year-old citizen of El Salvador, and the five others – including three from El Salvador, one from Mexico and one from Honduras – would be returned to their homeland.
