Bobby Lashley can fight with the 3-WWE world champion

Bobby Lashley kicked off one of WrestleMania 37 that night with a successful title defense over Drew McIntyre. The All Mighty Era is poised to continue on Monday Night RAW, and all eyes are now on the next WWE title challenger.

Dave Meltzer speculated about the possible plans for Bobby Lashley on Wrestling Observer Radio after WrestleMania 37 version.

Meltzer explained that the decisive finish of Bobby Lashley’s match against Drew McIntyre does not indicate that it is a rematch:

“The thing is, and again, I do not know. I’ll probably ask tomorrow, but what are they doing with, like. Okay, so it was not really a good finish to build a rematch, and still, think I do not mean that WrestleMania should be a show in the title race at WrestleMania, if the babyface chases, that you fix a finish for Backlash of Money in the Bank or whatever.I mean, it’s like, you can do it before the program before WrestleMania, but I would not do it at WrestleMania, it was not a finish you would do to build a second chance anyway.

Bobby Lashley vs. The Fiend?

Meltzer stressed the lack of credible baby faces to face a heel champion like Bobby Lashley. Brock Lesnar is not expected to be back anytime soon. WWE can finally discuss ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt in a storyline with Bobby Lashley.

Meltzer said The Fiend is the only baby face on RAW that can have a program with Bobby Lashley.

The Fiend is also the favorite to beat Randy Orton on the second night of WrestleMania 37. Wyatt could then be rewarded with another WWE title story:

“What babyface, in theory; it could even be a heel; who’s facing Lashley next if it’s not Drew? Brock is not coming back next month. The Fiend is an answer that scares me to death. Here’s the thing, The Fiend probably beats Randy Orton; I mean, I would think that, and if so, god, can you think? That’s the only thing I can think of.Why would you beat Drew? The only reason why “Lashley Drew had to beat, is because they are going to erect another baby face,” Meltzer said.

Meltzer ruled out the possibility that Sheamus would be discussed with Bobby Lashley in the title photo.

Meltzer said a rematch between Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre at the next PPV could be one possibility. However, the WrestleMania 37 finish was not ideal for setting up a compelling recycling scenario:

“I do not see that it is Sheamus; I do not know if Sheamus is a baby face or a heel; he goes back and forth in the middle of every promo. But Sheamus is already established as someone who is not on Drew ‘s level is not. So, who’s the next big, strong baby face, and it’s probably going to be The Fiend, so that’s one thing, it’s the only direction I can think of, unless they have Lashley, go for a second chance, but if they’re going to play Lashley again, what a nasty finish it was! ‘

Bobby Lashley will enter the RAW as the WWE Champion after WrestleMania 37, and WWE should ideally announce his next opponent in the episode.

Will the company continue with a second chance? Is it going to be The Fiend or another WWE Superstar? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
