Look up Bobby Brown in his late ‘The commercial heyday of the 80s – the Gumby-do, energy plucking from his pores, the grumbling bravado – is hard to pinpoint the twists and turns his life took to make him such a tragic figure. But mourning described the most recent chapter of Brown’s public life – his ex-wife Whitney Houston passed away in 2012; his daughter Bobby-Kristina Brown in 2015; and recently, in 2020, his son Bobby Brown Jr. die after overdose on fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol.
And so, the womann van Red Table Conversation had a lot to work with when Brown joined their confirmation choir for an episode that aired Wednesday. Brown told Jada Pinkett Smith, her daughter, Willow, and her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, that the death of his son had hit me very hard and that I had admired him as a young man. He tried to clear up misconceptions the public may have after the Bobby Brown Jr. overdose.
“Let me be clear, he was not a user,” Brown said. ‘He will experiment with different things. It was not like he was addicted to drugs like when I was in my situation. I was addicted. I needed it. He was a young man who tried the wrong things, and that took him away from here. “Brown blames himself in part: ‘I went through my time and I know that my time played a role in my son’s feeling that he could test something … And I feel guilty about it. ”
Brown retailers who combine their product with the extremely powerful fentanyl are ‘killers who are now creating these synthetic drugs that kill these children’. He said an investigation is underway to discover the source of the drugs that killed Brown’s son.
Brown also said he believes Nick Gordon, Bobbi Kristina’s ex-boyfriend, was responsible not only for his daughter’s death but also for his ex-wife. ‘He was the only one in both situations, with my ex-wife [Whitney Houston] and with my daughter, and they both died in the same way, ”Brown said. ‘It’s my opinion of who I think this young man was. To be my daughter and to be my ex-wife, I think [Nick] was rather a provider of, you know, party favors. Brown said at the table that he had never confronted Gordon. In 2016, however, Gordon was ordered to pay an unlawful death suit $ 36 million to Bobbi Kristina’s estate. Bobby Brown was one of the witnesses.

“It’s being printed,” Brown said of his feelings about his daughter’s death. “I like it as much as I can because I could not do anything then and now I can do nothing.”
Brown has the Bobbi Kristina Serenity House, a safe haven for domestic violence, in 2015, the year his daughter died. After mentioning it, Pinkett Smith referred to the violence that allegedly took place in Brown’s relationship with Houston. He was charged with battery in 2003 and acknowledge on Houston once hit in an interview with Robin Roberts in 2016. (In 2009, Houston told Oprah Winfrey Brown spat on her during a confrontation.)
At the Red Table, Brown said, ‘Do you know the violence we suffered? This in itself is violence. He continued: ‘You know, this is abuse. We abused drugs and alcohol. We fought verbally hard and we held on even harder for it. He then emphasizes the verbal nature of their commotion: “Orally it becomes real, messy.”
Brown says he has not used drugs for 19 years and that he has been a year into alcohol. ‘He said he was spending time in jail, as he did in 2004, was his bottom.
