The longtime producer and call show host James The – The Rush Limbaugh Show – better known to millions of listeners as “Bo Snerdley” or “Mr. Snerdley” – honored the iconic broadcaster on ‘Hannity’ on Thursday as a friend and colleague.
“Our beloved Rush has returned his talent to God,” an emotional Snerdley told host Sean Hannity, referring to Limbaugh’s favorite self-description as “talent borrowed from God.”
“We can not fold our arms over this,” Snerdley added. “We can not turn our brains and our hearts on this … we are so grateful to him.
Limbaugh died Wednesday at age 70 from complications of lung cancer.
“You know, Rush is a second-generation founding father to me,” Snerdley continued. “One man has changed so many trajectories in this country. When Rush started his career, there were 1,200 radio stations, which did about the radio format. Today, there are more than 12,000.”
“There was nowhere on TV that you could get conservative ideology; that you could get the values that most Americans suggest to Rush,” Snerdley added. “He changed the media. He changed the landscape.”
He added that Limbaugh’s audience did not fall into a specific demographic, but rather ran the spectrum from “small children” to the “senior or senior”. [citizens]. “
“Beyond all the accomplishments,” Snerdley said. “Rush Limbaugh was one of the best people you would ever want to meet.” A generous, wonderful, beautiful spirit; humble, a gentleman … never looked down on people. ‘
Snerdley conceded that it made him angry to hear and read the obituaries of Limbaugh who described him as a racist or misogynist or spread other “falsehoods” about his life and career.
“It burns me to my soul when people tarnish his reputation with falsehoods and call him a racist. This man was just an incredible phenomenon – and we love you, Rush.”

Limbaugh would include Snerdley in his program over the years and present him airtime as the ‘Official Obama Criticizer’.
Hannity noted that when he and Snerdley work from adjacent radio studios at WABC Radio in New York, he would come in regularly to greet the Limbaugh program staff and witness Snerdley end up with callers and sometimes hanging on to them.
‘There were two programs running [at once], true or false? Asked the host.
“That’s very true, Sean,” Snerdley laughed.
