BMW today unveiled the BMW i4, its new all-electric vehicle, and confirmed that it will have a range of up to 300 miles, based on the EPA standard.
After the German carmaker launched the BMW i3 in 2013, we thought it would release the BMW i4, i5, and so on, but that did not really happen.
It took BMW seven years to launch another electric vehicle, the BMW iX3, and it did not even release it in North America.
But now we finally get the BMW i4.
Today, as part of the BMW Group Annual Conference, the carmaker decided to unveil the vehicle, which would not be made public for several months.
However, they do not do a complete disclosure with all the specifications and features. It will come within the next few weeks.
For now, BMW is announcing some details, such as the fact that the BMW i4 will be offered in different versions, enabling ‘up to 590 km (WLTP) and up to 300 miles (EPA)’s range, based on their own estimates.
It has a power output of up to 390kW / 530PK, which will enable an acceleration of 0 to 100km / h (62 mph) within four seconds.

BMW calls the i4 a ‘fully electric 4-door Gran Coupé’ and today confirmed that it will ‘come on the market’ in the course of 2021 ‘, along with a BMW M Performance variant.
Pieter Nota, board member of BMW AG responsible for Customer, Brands, Sales, commented on the unveiling:

Together with the BMW iX, the i4 is expected to be the German brand’s new flagship electric vehicle this year.
