BMG announces restructuring, promotes Thomas Scherer

Since Scherer joined the leaders of the Los Angeles marketing and repertoire team in 2014, the company has been successful on the recording side with releases from, among others, Run the Jewels, Jason Mraz, KSI and Curtis Waters. Loeffler, a former TV and commercial producer, joined the company in 2009 as a consultant following the acquisition of Cherry Lane Records and has since spearheaded his relationship with artists including Huey Lewis, Roger Waters, Bad Company, John Fogerty and Kenny Loggins. He also managed BMG’s S-Curve Records in New York and was the architect of the recently launched OM Records, a partnership with the French football club Olympique de Marseille.
