Ready for another wrinkle in the rumors surrounding Apple’s project Titan car efforts? A report of Bloomberg says despite (or perhaps due to) all the information leaking about a possible agreement between Apple and Hyundai / Kia, the talks have recently been ‘quiet.’
The unnamed source has backed up other reports suggesting that the Kia plant in Georgia could serve a likely production base for an autonomous electric vehicle if the companies enter into an agreement, and the report maintains that the project recently shot up. In the last few days, a report by Japan’s Nikkei indicated that as many as six Japanese car manufacturers are also working on the project, so time will tell who is there, who is out there and whether or not this project turns into a real car at all.
