BlizzConline 2021 schedule: Diablo 4, World of Warcraft and Overwatch 2

Blizzard Entertainment has unveiled the schedule for this year’s BlizzCon – an online event called BlizzConline – which shows what fans can expect from the two – day digital show. While the BlizzConline 2021 schedule does not provide too much detail, it appears that the World of Warcraft and Diablo franchises will be a major focal point during the event.

BlizzConline kicks off Friday, February 19 at 2:00 PM PST with an opening ceremony. According to the schedule, it will only take more than an hour. The opening ceremony will be followed by some “What’s Next” panels for World of Warcraft and Diablo. Usually, the panels at BlizzCon provide additional insight into announcements made during the program’s opening ceremonies.

Although we do not have a new extension for World of Warcraft, given that Shadowlands had just arrived in November, details of an upcoming table of contents could be announced. Blizzard’s other version of its massive multiplayer online game, World of Warcraft Classic, can also be a focal point. Blizzard reportedly interviewed players about interest in the Burning Crusade extension to Classic.

As for Diablo, we know it Diablo 4 is like at work Diablo Immortal, the mobile version of Blizzard’s action role-playing game. A remake or remaster of Diablo 2 is apparently also in the works at Blizzard, courtesy of Vicarious Visions, the developer behind recent Crash Bandicoot and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater remakes.

Diablo and World of Warcraft will also be the subject of ‘Deep Dive’ and Q&A panels for developers at BlizzConline.

Blizzard’s other properties (Overwatch, Hearthstone and StarCraft) appear to have a smaller presence at the show. Overwatch 2 will look behind the scenes on Friday, and Herdsteen will be the subject of a ‘Deep Dive’ that offers a closer look at what’s coming to the competitive card game in 2021.

Activision Blizzard has expectations for Diablo 4 and Ear Watch 2The release dates earlier this month during an investor presentation, when it confirmed that no title is expected before 2022.

BlizzConline takes place on February 19-20 and is free to watch.
