BlizzCon Online is free to watch this month

As with all of last year’s physical events, BlizzCon did not happen as usual in November. Blizzard chose to move the event to an online format and this month pushed BlizzCon 2020 to BlizzConline. Would you look into it? It’s almost coming, so Blizzard has released a trailer and some starter details on what to expect on February 19th and 20th.

The new trailer here is actually just a small preview, but the reminder is that the benefit of this year’s online format is that BlizzCon is free to watch. In their blog post, Blizzard says that a detailed schedule will be announced closer to the dates of the event, but they at least outline the basics.

Day one of the event starts at 14:00 PST / 22:00 GMT on Friday 19 February with an opening segment featuring a first look at the latest game content the development teams have been working on ‘. This is likely to be the big hiss pool and big announcements. After that, Blizzard says the event will be split into six channels so you can click around to hear which game you like the most. Saturday 20th starts at 12:00 PST / 20:00 GMT. According to Blizzard, it will focus on the spotlight of the community, including winners for the various contests and exhibitions.

If you’re a player of any great Blizzard game, you’ve probably already seen if you’ll be talked about, but hey, there’s always room for surprises. I’m sure we’ll at least get a wink for Overwatch 2 and some sort of update on Diablo 4 progress. Hearthstone and World Of Warcraft will surely get their blame too.

If you do not intend to stay awake until lethal hours of the night, do not worry. Blizzard says you can watch the archive videos later.

BlizzConline launches on Friday, February 19th at 14:00 PST / 22:00 GMT on the BlizzCon website, YouTube and Twitch.
