Blizzard Announces BlizzConline Opening Ceremony and Panel Details

Blizzard on Monday announced new details for the BlizzCon replacement, BlizzConline, including information about the opening ceremony of the event and various channels of programming.

The opening ceremony of BlizzConline begins on Friday, February 19 at 2:00 PM PST / 5:00 PM EST. Expect updates on Blizzard games like Diablo 4, Overwatch 2, en World of Warcraft. We can also see new content for Heroes of the Storm and a new Herdsteen expansion, as well as some details on Diablo: Immortal.

After the opening ceremony, Blizzard will present six programs. For ‘three-hour hours’, Blizzard developers will go through their recent and past announcements with fans and sometimes take questions from the audience.

BlizzConline will return on Saturday, February 20 at 12pm PST / 3pm EST. The second day will feature more questions and answers with Blizzard developers and some competitions like the cosplay exhibits.

Fans can watch BlizzConline for free on the BlizzCon website.

Instead of a virtual ticket for this year’s event, Blizzard on Monday unveiled a horde of 30-year-old Blizzard treats. These bundles contain Sjoe containers, pets, Diablo 3 emblems and wings, Star craft 2 embleme, Herdsteen card packages, and more. Fans can already buy these bundles, though some items will only appear later this month. Console players for Ear Watch and Diablo 3 will soon have the opportunity to purchase a version of this volume.

Blizzard has not issued a complete BlizzConline schedule. The launch of the BlizzCon schedule is always a favorite day for speculation, as fans try to guess which games the studio can announce based on secret panels. Blizzard will announce the schedule before BlizzConline, though it has not given a specific date.
