The show, which is considered the real-life version of the hit movie Crazy Rich Asians, premiered on January 15 – and even fans have weighed the whole thing and weighed the plot and stars on social media.
Many critics on Twitter have expressed particular concern about the relationship between Kelly Mi Li (35) and actor Andrew Gray (33). Some say Netflix should have included a warning about abusive relationships with the program.

He even told her that she could not leave the hotel without him.
To make matters worse, Kelly admits that Andrew “regularly gets into these bad moods or episodes” and told the camera, “Unfortunately, this is not the first time Drew has screamed at me or talked to me in this way.”
At another scene, when her friend Kevin asks what she gets out of the relationship, her response is, “He’s not sleeping.”
On one occasion, Kelly walks out of a recording studio where Andrew is working with a friend, after he starts yelling at her about her decision to discuss their relationship with her friends.
Andrew’s fleeting behavior sends the couple to therapy, where Kelly finally decides that she no longer wants to continue with the relationship – although she returns to his home at the end of the series, leaving the status of their romance a mystery.
But while the reality star may have forgiven and forgotten her partner’s outbursts, viewers of the Netflix show were horribly left behind by his ‘insulting’ actions.
