New weapons

Wakizashi (now available)

This traditionally forged blade is a personal defense weapon and a companion to the samurai’s katana. It uses two types of steel in its construction and is lightweight, resilient and durable to carry.

Compared to the standard knife, the Wakizashi offers a slightly better range in exchange for speed, opening up new strategies for those who swear to bring knives to a shootout.

Like the Streetsweeper shotgun, the Wakizashi can be unlocked via a challenge in the game, where it can then be leveled for camos and XP. A blueprint from the same weapon family is also available today in the brand new volume “Disavowed Assassin”.

Operator Zeyna joins on January 21

NATO gets another bad operator for their ranks as Zeyna Ossou, who was last seen with Bulldozer and Russel Adler at The Pines Mall to take down Stitch, will be available next week.

This Senegalese-born DGSE specialist in mobility and heavy weapons has been around for as long as she can remember. She grows up in the garages of her father of the rally driver and jokes that she has petrol in her veins. Although she’s a risk taker and a bit of a game card during infiltrations, Zeyna’s colleagues know she’s the one you want on the tip of the spear.

Get Zeyna for Black Ops Cold War and War zone as part of a store bundle during Season One.

Two Multiplayer Cards

Sanatorium (live now)

Ten groups of four will march to the Ural Plains to fight over targets and vehicles on land, sea and air.

Here in the Urals is a Soviet experimental health retreat – the focus of a clandestine investigation by NATO forces in September 1984. Low wooded hills provide cover for groups to explore the main, roughly circular “hotel”: a concrete, brutal architectural casing, flanked by structures along the lake and a large wooden dock.

With links to secret tests inside the state Sanatorium U-23, notes found at the site of this sprawling complex point to a conditioning test known as Project Golova.

Express (6v6) (February 4)

Back from Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Express arrives February 4 in Black Ops Cold War as a 6v6 Multiplayer favorite, affectionately known as the high-tech train station that offered a brilliant moment in competition Call of Duty history.

Express is an approximately U-shaped card with two train tracks running in the main hall of the transport loft. Players can expect a lot of melee combat in the hall, but note that the glass ceiling makes it susceptible to enemy chimneys.

Long-distance battles can take place over the train tracks, especially if you look out of the airlift on either side of the map. These areas are also an excellent place to watch one of the high-speed trains along the station bolt on one of the tracks, where it will not hesitate to take out any operator who does not mind the gap.

Multiplayer modes

Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer receives even more new game modes during the first season, as well as the continuation of the fast-paced 3v3 experience, Face Off.

Dropkick (live now)

This frantic game with hot potatoes contains two teams each competing for an extremely important briefcase. The round starts with each team rushing to the place of the core suitcase and trying to pick it up. Everyone who grabs the briefcase is automatically equipped with a powerful pistol, but it is ideal for the rest of the team to keep the briefcase carrier safe. The team with the case gets access to launch codes, as well as an ever-increasing score for their team.

If you die while your team controls the briefcase, you will not respond again until your carrier is eliminated and the briefcase is dropped. If your team does not carry the suitcase, it must be rinsed out and retrieved before it is too late. Once one team reaches the points limit by controlling and possessing the briefcase, orders to carry out a core strike are confirmed, and the round is won … in a very explosive way! The first team to score 200 points wins.

Sharp shooters Moshpit only (in season)

Get ready, snipers. Later in the first season, Treyarch brings the new Snipers Only Moshpit mode Black Ops Cold War, where two teams of six in Team Deathmatch and Domination will drop with all weapons limited except sniper rifles. Lethal and tactical equipment, as well as Scorestreak weapons (like the War Machine), will also be limited for a pure sniper experience.

Endurance (in season)

Following the tactical Duos variation of this season, Black Ops Cold War greatest game mode is about to take the 10-team experience to a whole new level.

In the upcoming Endurance variant, ten groups of four will fall into Alpine, Ruka and Sanatorium to collect uranium and arm bombs during the game. However, after one bomb explodes, a new one will now come online to take its place and ensure that there will always be five bombs available instead of an initial set of five reduced to a single bomb. It introduces a new strategy layer and relentless action for this already intense battlefield for 40 players.

The score limit will also double in endurance from 500 to 1000, making it ideal for completing MP challenges. Jump with your group and experience the game’s most extensive maps in a whole new way.

3v3 Face Off continues

This fast-paced small-team mode is here to stay in season one, and it’s ready for your trio to claim dominance in respawn modes on four frenetic maps. Black Ops Cold War.

If you have not yet experienced Face Off, this playlist includes 3v3 Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed and Domination game modes on the latest Gunfight maps: Game Show, ICBM, U-Bahn and KGB.

It’s perfect for tackling weapon camo challenges or a quick warm up before diving into larger modes, and Face Off will be offered during the continuation of Season One after this week.
