From time to time, a weapon will emerge in FPS games that is just too good for competitive gaming. If it stays in the meta, teams will use it all, just like Warzone with the Overpower DMR.
To avoid this problem, pro players tend to exclude certain weapons from competitive play. It now appears that players of Black Ops Cold War have made a major ban.
The latest GA (or Gentleman’s Agreement) is not strict in the Call of Duty League. However, a GA acts as an understanding that no professional player will use this weapon in tournament.
Black Ops Cold War Proponents Ban AK-47
Because of the weapon that was too powerful in the Black Ops Cold War, pro players decided to ban the AK-47. In the latest GA, Call of Duty League players are saying goodbye to the iconic assault rifle.
After the AK-47 becomes too meta-defining, the professionals make a call to let it go. Some players have shared their opinion on the change, and so far things are looking positive.
Now that the AK-47 is out of the way, however, a new meta will emerge. And with the new meta comes a new weapon that will be overwhelmed by many people.
At the moment, it looks like War 6 will be the gun in the CDL, but there is still time for things to change. After the AK is out of the game for a while, pro players will discover a new dominant weapon to build their groups.

Just because the AK-47 is the best weapon in CDL does not mean, of course, that it is the best choice for all players. In fact, the best weapons in Black Ops Multiplayer for the Cold War differ slightly from those used by the pro players.
