Black Ops Cold War February 10 Notes: Troubleshooting in Different Modes

There are only a few weeks left until the end of Black Ops Cold War Season 1, which means Season 2 is fast approaching. To ensure happy hunting, here are 5 things we want to see in Treyarch’s latest CoD season.

You have to imagine that Treyarch has been working hard on season 2 of Black Ops Cold War from the moment that season 1 falls. Leaving a load of content is not easy and yet it takes a lot of work to make it happen.

Season 1 featured cool weapons like the MAC-10 & Streetsweeper, remakes of Raid & Express and new game modes like Dropkick. However, there is plenty of room for improvement, and here are five easy ways Treyarch can make Season 2 even better and more enjoyable in the latest Call of Duty game.

5. Old and new maps in BOCW Season 2

Needless to say, Black Ops Cold War probably could have had more cards at launch instead of spreading it regularly through the game’s release. Thanks to updates and new content, the game now has 12 different “6v6” cards that players can enjoy.

Now a leaker weeks ago claimed that there would be another 8 card changes coming. Since that post, Express has been taking a train ride into the 1980s, and we can easily see more on the way. The Pines is an excellent, original map and it would be nice to see some new maps in addition to some versions.

4. New, exciting game modes in BOCW Season 2

One thing that Black Ops Cold War certainly does not lack is a real choice of game modes that players can indulge in. Between Standard, Hardcore and a multitude of other playlist options, there are so many options for players.

But some fan-favorite modes are still conspicuously absent and there is also always room for originality and ingenuity.

3. Better Spawns in BOCW Season 2

We can not think of a Call of Duty game in recent memory that had such unusual calves. Several maps such as Crossroads, Armada and Satellite feature blatantly exposed spawning areas that make players susceptible to a number of consecutive deaths.

We can forgive these kinds of things that appear on a small map like Nuketown ’84, but it really should not happen on medium-to-large maps. Hopefully Treyarch realized this and revalued the game’s calf system.

2. Fewer bugs and errors in BOCW Season 2

We recognize that it is probably more difficult than it sounds, but fewer mistakes will provide a wholesome experience.

Just in Season 1, Raid Mario Kart became Rainbow Road, a mistake that made players invisible, and even a mistake that left players boneless. We do not ask for perfection, but perhaps fewer bugs, and allow us to retain more of our limbs.

Improved points system in BOCW Season 2

It’s no secret that Black Ops Cold War’s scoring system is terribly unbalanced. Regardless of the mode you play, the game actively encourages players to focus on death, death, and nothing but death.

A player who ignores the goal of scoring a 10-stroke will benefit far more than someone who has spent the entire game catching the flag in Domination and finishing Hardpoints. There is little incentive to focus on goals, and Treyarch must absolutely address them.

These are five important things we think Black Ops Cold War could make one of the best Call of Duty games ever if it all happens.

Some potential information on leaked weapons for Season 2 has already been released and we will let you know when Treyarch officially launches the new information.
