Black Ops Cold War allegedly added the controversial weapon

A new Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War leak has revealed that one of the series’ most controversial weapons – presumably – is coming to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC games. A weapon Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone players are no introduction with the Riot Shield. In previous episodes, the Riot Shield was far from controversial. In fact, it was an afterthought. In Modern warfare and War zone it has shaken off its useless reputation and is used frequently. In fact, it has become so popular that guides have been created on how to counteract it.

That said, it looks like the Riot Shield is on its way Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, or at least that’s what a new leak from “Call of Duty Leaks” claims. The claim promotion is an image in the game of the Riot Shield, presumably taken from a development form or the files of the game.

Below you can see the leak yourself, thanks to Call of Duty Leaks:

The source in question has been reliable in the past, but they have also done things wrong in the past. And it’s just part of the deal to have leaks.

As always, take everything here with a grain of salt. Not only is there nothing of the official range here, but even if the Riot Shield is currently coming into play, things could change over the course of development and as the weapon goes through the test. At the time of publication, Activision and co. did not comment on this leak in any capacity. If that changes, we’ll make sure the story is complete with everything provided.
