‘Black-ish’ Creator Kenya Barris wants a restraining order against sister

Kenya Barris – the creator of ‘Black-ish’ and other spinoffs – asks a judge to intervene to force his sister to keep her distance … because he claims she’s earning money and threatening his children.

The hugely successful writer, director, actor and TV producer has only filed a restraining order Colette Barris – his own brother or sister, who teaches professionally and also writes books – due to the fear that Kenya will harm his children … in one way or another.

In the documents, obtained by TMZ, Kenya documents years of alleged incidents in which he claims she used her name and their family relationship with her backup to exploit herself with opportunities in Hollywood. But after unsuccessful attempts to get her own projects off the ground – either because meetings went nowhere or because Kenya refused to help her – he claims he is now worried that Colette will vent her anger against him on his six children will remove.

Therefore, he asks a judge to enforce a protected protective screen – even if it is temporary – so that she can stay away from him and his family and stop the communication.

Kenya says he has had a rocky relationship with his sister for years, all because he claims she insists on winning the family name and using it for her own prospects … not to mention the alleged claim that he for her and their long-term family should not care with cash.

Kenya describes several alleged episodes in which he says Colette obtained meetings with executives of large studios to devise her own ideas for TV shows … all under what Kenya calls false pretenses, using his name and false support to share time to refurbish and secure. In some cases, Kenya says things really got in the way for her … all because some executives felt pressured to help Colette because of projects with him.

There it is too … Kenya claims that Colette recently sent him a legitimate demand letter saying that he MUST fund a $ 4 million film project (based on her novel). He also claims that she told him if he did not do what she said … she would become public.
