Kingdom comes … to Prince Charles’ defense.

Members of The Kingdom’s Choir – who performed at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle – speak in defense of Prince Charles as the royal family’s allegations of racism stem from the Sussex’s Sunday night with Oprah Winfrey.

Mrs Karen Gibson, founder and conductor of The Kingdom’s Choir, told TMZ on Thursday that Prince Charles had invited the African-American group to bless the congregation during the marriage of Harry and Meg, an invitation she believes is sincere. She also claims Charles ‘went out of his way’ to congratulate them on their success since the event.

Markle claimed during the bombing that a member of the royal family expressed concern about her and Harry’s son Archie’s skin color, as Markle’s mother is African American. Winfrey confirmed that neither the queen nor Prince Phillip are the royals, which leads many to point the finger at Charles and / or his eldest son, Prince William.

In turn, William insisted that the royals ‘are very much not a racist family’. Charles had not yet addressed the allegations, but only expressed a nervous laugh when asked about the controversial V&A.
