In other current news, Tenet will make his HBO Max debut on May 1. Tit comes after the decision of Warner Bros. release all their 2021 feature films on the streaming service caused quite a stir in Hollywood. Nolan, what already seen his latest film being pushed back due to the global covid-19 pandemic, finally has a short theatrical release for Tenet. Late last year he expressed his frustration with WB’s decision, specifically how they proceeded.

‘There’s such a controversy about it because they did not tell anyone. In 2021, they have some of the best filmmakers in the world, they have some of the biggest stars in the world who have worked for years in some cases on these projects that were very close to their heart – screen experiences. ‘They are meant to be there for the widest possible audience … And now they are being used as a loss leader for the streaming service – for the new streaming service – without any consultation,’ ‘he said Entertainment tonight. ‘It’s very, very, very, very messy. A real bait and switch. Yes, it’s not like you treat filmmakers and stars and people who gave these guys a lot for these projects. They deserve to be consulted and talked to about what is going to happen to their work. ”

Tenet is currently nominated for several awards at the 2021 Oscars including Best Production Design and Best visual effects.
