Intrigue developed throughout the week around Sean McDermott’s plans regarding playing time for his Buffalo Bills in the season finale against the Miami Dolphins.
Apparently the plan is to play ‘very important guys’, including quarterback Josh Allen.
“ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported on Saturday that the Bills could rest some people, but the belief is that very important guys will go – (Bills) could land 2 seeds, with Josh Allen’s last MVP stand,” Fowler tweeted.

The bills could actually be the no. 2 selected in the AFC with a win or a loss by Pittsburgh Steelers. Mike Tomlin revealed this week that he plans to rest most of his key players, including Ben Roethlisberger and TJ Watt.
Allen is right in the thickness of the MVP race. He currently has the third best chance (+1400) of winning behind Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers (-650) and Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes (+350). He can currently bolster his case with a few more touchdowns added to his franchise record 43 this season. Allen is just 40 past the passing of Drew Bledsoe’s one-time record of 4,359 meters which was moved back in 2002. Allen surpassed Jim Kelly’s record for passes in a season last week and is currently 34 on the year.
Bill Stefon Diggs himself experienced a career season in his first turn in Buffalo. His 120 catches and 1,459 yards are both new franchise records, surpassing legendary account receiver Eric Molds in recent weeks.
If the Bills defeat the Dolphins Sunday, they will secure the first 6-0 victory of the AFC East and only the third 13 victory in franchise history.
The Bills will face newcomer Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa for the first time this weekend after returning to veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick in the second week. Fitzpatrick tested positive for Covid-19 this week and will miss the game.
Account security Micah Hyde said this week he wants to play against the Dolphins.
‘Honestly, it’s just nothing more than competitive fire for myself personally. I want to play, ”said Hyde. No matter what decisions are made (of course), I have no control over them. But I want to play and want to go there and compete. I feel like, it’s crazy that I’m saying this, it’s year eight (for me) and week 17 and I still feel like I still have things to work on. I try to go out there, compete and get better, and gain momentum in the playoffs. ”
