Android vs iPhone: The debate over whether Android is better or iPhone has been going on for a long time. There is, of course, never a conclusion to this debate. Apple is an excellent brand and several celebrities use the iPhone. However, Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft, is not one of them, as he also revealed earlier. But more details behind his preference for Android were recently revealed by him during an interaction on Clubhouse, an invite-only audio chat platform that is ironically only available on iOS at the moment.

The technology mogul said that while he kept an iPhone up because he likes to keep up with everything, he prefers Android phones because they were smoother, adding that some also came with pre-installed Microsoft Office programs, which it made it easier for him to work. In the apparent regard for Apple’s lack of customization, he said some manufacturers were also more flexible about how the software connected to the OS.

However, it is not clear what the co-founder of Microsoft meant by linking the software to the operating system, because the Microsoft Office applications that were compatible with iOS have always been available in the Apple App Store. On top of that, the Apple 14, introduced by Apple, does much more than it ever did, and even lets users change the default browser as well as the email client.

Google, owned by Google, is open source and is offered as an operating system platform for different smartphone makers, allowing these makers to customize the applications on their phones according to their preferences. On the other hand, iOS is a software developed by Apple, intended exclusively for the hardware, which means that it was developed according to the design that Apple intended for its own phones.
