Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell Reveals the Origins of Notorious BIG

The origins of the iconic rapper Notorious BIG are told in the trailer for Netflix’s new documentary Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell.

The documentary consists of rare footage captured by Biggie’s best friend Damion “D-Roc” Butler, and includes new interviews with his family and friends.

The deceased rapper, born Christopher Wallace, was shot dead in March 1997, just 24 years old, during a driveway.

The trailer begins with candid shots of the rapper, explaining: ‘That was all it was. That’s all it was. Was a dream. ‘

Biggie’s mother, Voletta Wallace, reveals her son, ‘was a very smart kid,’ adding that he started writing in elementary school.

The documentary will air on Netflix on March 1, just a few months before its 50th birthday in May.

Last month it was announced that Notorious BIG will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year.
