Big E reveals Apollo Crews’ deleted tweets before signing with WWE

Big E may have retained its Intercontinental title over Apollo Crews at SmackDown this past Friday, but it looks like the beef between the two is far from over.

Big Twitter reveals a screenshot of two now-removed Apollo Crews tweets.

The first one reads: “Damn, Big E Langston is short” with the second saying: “Lmao! Big E came on TV and my sister and mom said what is it?!?!”

Both tweets are from early 2013, not long after Big E’s main call. At the time, the future New Day member was linked to Dolph Ziggler and AJ Lee, who serve as the Show-Off’s muscle. The two will challenge Team Hell No (Daniel Bryan and Kane) WrestleMania 29 for the WWE Tag Team Titles, but in the end it came short. The second of Apollo’s two deleted tweets appeared about a week later WrestleMania match.

Crews’ previous jabs at Big E took place just one year before he was signed to WWE in 2014. Crews made his television debut NXT Takeover event outside Full Sail University, NXT Takeover: Brooklyn. Although he achieved limited success on the main roster, Crews was briefly a singles champion last year and reigned as the American champion before losing the title to Bobby Lashley by the end of 2020.

Since then, Crews has been recalled to SmackDown, where he recently successfully challenged Big E for his title. Although he fell short in his first attempt, it is quite possible that an extensive feud between Crews and E is on the horizon if these tweets are anything to go by.
