The medical associate of Fox News, dr. Marty Makary told America’s Newsroom on Thursday that President Joe Biden’s proposed plan for a $ 400 billion coronavirus could invest too much in a short three months to spend on relief.
President Biden was sworn in on Wednesday and immediately issued several executive orders to fight the deadly coronavirus that has killed more than 2 million people worldwide. Biden announced last night that he intends to enact the Defense Production Act to accelerate the production of tests and vaccine supplies to combat the coronavirus.
Biden also plans to create a health equity task force for coronavirus, compile more public data on cases and create a keyboard for pandemic.
Dr Makary has provided insight into the Biden Defense Production Act and predicts that immunity to coronavirus could occur as early as March 2021.
DR. MARTY MAKARY: First of all, his advisers warn him that the Defense Production Act might not help much, because you can do just as much to speed up production. It was mostly a distribution problem and not a supply problem. More messages about masking help. The more we can talk about masking helps.

It’s going to be hard to spend $ 400 billion, and that’s what he proposed to spend on COVID within three months. If you think about it, the distribution can use help over the next three months. I’m not sure how you spend $ 400 billion, especially not when grocery stores and pharmacies say, ‘we’re set up, we just need the vaccine’.

I would encourage people to keep their hats off. You do not want to get the infection in the last month or two of the pandemic, and it is still a very contagious and maybe even more contagious virus with the new variants.

I do see that herd immunity is already taking place in March. I’ve always said April will restore normal life, and I really believe it. So many people have had the infection that kicks in the natural immunity. It can currently be 30 to 50% of the country with natural immunity to previous infection. We supplement that with the vaccine and vaccinated immunity we can rush into the herd immunity much faster than people think.
