After Chrissy Teigen was blocked by @POTUS on Twitter for years during Donald Trump’s presidency, he was officially re-elected now that Joe Biden has been inaugurated and taken control of the account.
Teigen was in Washington, DC, with husband John Legend and their children during the inauguration, tweeted on Wednesday morning, “hello @joebiden I’ve been blocked by the president for four years. Can I get a follow plz.”
Later that evening, Teigen becomes one of the twelve followers of the bill, including mostly White House bills, such as those of First Lady Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Kate Bedingfield, director of communications at the White House.
The White House’s director of digital strategy Rob Flaherty then tweeted the meme, “How it started vs. how it went” along with a screenshot of Teigen’s request that @POTUS follow her and a screenshot of who the next one is.
“My heart oh my god, I can finally see the president’s tweets, and they probably won’t be untied,” she said. tweeted in response. “I should probably never tweet again.”
Legend was performed on Wednesday night during the Celebrating America presentation and according to Teigen’s social reports, they showed up for rehearsal on Tuesday. Teigen also shared a series of photos with members of the National Guard, the National Mall, and in front of the Lincoln Memorial.
Teigen wrote in a long Instagram caption how happy she was that Trump left office, saying: ‘History will not be kind to you, your absolute psychopath. But I never was. ‘
“Today our great national fuckup is over, but the shame will last forever. with 2 accusations, the creation of 3 million LESS jobs, 403,000 deaths, a record low approval rating and god knows how many crimes, we can officially say Donald J Trump is the biggest as the fucking worst, ‘Teigen wrote. “Maybe it was not such a good idea to burn the man with barely enough well-donated steak with tomato sauce brain power to power a light bulb that does not even know how to close an umbrella, running the country.”
In July 2017, Trump blocked Teigen after she tweeted him: “Lolllll nobody likes you.”
