Biden hits the links for the first golf outing of his presidency

Greet the new Duffer-in-Chief!

President Biden hit the links for the first golf game of his presidency Saturday in an unannounced visit that surprised local hackers.

Shocked members of the Wilmington Country Club, ten minutes from Biden’s home in Delaware, were seen pushing out their cellphones to record the president’s arrival at the 36-hole.

The White House concluded with adviser Steve Ricchetti and Ron Olivere. Olivere is the father of Hallie Biden, the widow of Biden’s deceased son Beau – and former lover of Hunter Biden, his younger son who was hit by scandal.

Biden has been taking the game to heart for the past few days: the trip took place one day after his scathing reference to Masters golf champion Hideki Matsuyama as a ‘Japanese boy’ in a press conference in Rose Garden with Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga .

Biden, once classified by Golf Digest as one of the most important politicians in Washington, took Biden a break during last year’s presidential campaign. His first public undertaking on the course comes 87 days after he took the oath of office.

It will still take many outings to catch up with his predecessors’ amazing appetite for the game. During his presidency, President Trump has played at least 150 rounds on the golf courses he owns in Virginia, Florida and New Jersey. President Obama has stepped down more than 300 times during his two terms.
