Biden finally calls migrant boom a ‘crisis’ as he explains the cave of refugee shells

President Biden finally calls the chaos on the southern border what it is – a crisis.

The frightening rhetorical reversal took place on Saturday in a conversation with reporters in Wilmington, Del., When Biden tried to defend his Friday flip-flop over admissions for refugees.

‘We are going to increase the number [of refugees allowed into the country]”Biden said when he returned home after playing the first golf game of his presidency. “The problem was that the refugee section was dealing with the crisis that ended up on the border with young people.”

“We could not do two things at once,” he added. “But now we’re going to increase the number.”

In his somewhat confused remark, it appears that Biden said that the tension of the influx of migrant children had exceeded the immigration authorities of the country too much, making it impossible for them to handle an increase in authorized refugees as well.

On Friday, hours after Biden signed an executive order retaining the Trump administration’s 15,000 refugee admissions for this year, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki issued a hasty announcement saying the White House on May 15 an unknown higher hood will be unveiled.

The sudden switch came after progressive Democrats, led by representatives Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (DN.Y.), excited the initial decision on social media.

But in his justification, Biden may have given his press office a new headache by using the word “crisis,” which his government, including Psaki and Homeland Security Minister Alejandro Mayorkas, has been sharply avoiding for months.

The Republicans’ charge is that the dramatic rise of migrants rushing across the Mexican border to the US – with only 172,000 arrested in March – is a 15-year record.

“We have a very serious challenge, and I do not think the problem of the challenge can be overestimated,” Mayorkas said during a congressional hearing last month. “We also have a plan to address it,” he added.
