The 78-year-old commander had his hand on the railing when he stumbled twice before falling over the third time as he flew up the stairs of the empty plane at Joint Base Andrews.
After recovering, Biden seemed to take a while to dust off his knee before finally reaching the top. He then said goodbye before diving into the cockpit to leave for Georgia.
