Biden-admin publishes photos of busy migrant processing center on the border amid transparency criticism

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on Tuesday released photos of the temporary facilities used to process migrant children crossing the U.S. southern border.

In the photos are crowded places, including children sleeping shoulder-to-shoulder on carpets on the floor with aluminum blankets and on benches. In another photo, dozens of children are seen in a transparent pen, similar to a cage.

The release of the photos comes after the White House and CBP were pressured about the fact that the media did not have access to these facilities. President Biden’s government has cited coronavirus protocols as the reason the press is not allowed.

PHOTOS OF COMPETENT MIGRANT HOLDING CENTER IN TEXAS FOR DEMOCRATIC CONGRESSOR RELEASED

In a statement accompanying the photos, the CBP said it was working to strike a balance between the need for public transparency and accountability. ‘

The office of Representative Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, on Monday released photos of the same center in Donna, Texas, as the media is trying to gain better access to the southern border and the Biden government continues to deny that the border situation is a crisis.
